On Tuesday, September 15, 2026, Head of BPS Semarang City, Rudi Cahyono, SST., M.Si., served as a speaker at the Semarang City DPRD Interactive Dialogue held at Quest Hotel Semarang.

The dialogue carried the theme “Examining the Validity of Household Deciles in Semarang City.” The forum provided an opportunity for government representatives, DPRD members, and relevant stakeholders to discuss the utilization and validity of household data in supporting local policy formulation and budgeting.

During the event, the Head of BPS Semarang City shared a statistical perspective on the importance of data quality and validity in accurately describing community conditions. Reliable data serves as an important foundation for ensuring that development programs and policies are better targeted.

BPS's participation in the dialogue with the Semarang City DPRD also strengthened communication and shared understanding of the role of official statistics in decision-making. The discussion is expected to encourage more effective use of data in supporting the development of Semarang City.
