Implementation of the Functional Position Competency Test

Thursday (4/2) an online Statistic and Computer Institution Competency Test was carried out which was conducted simultaneously at BPS throughout Indonesia. In accordance with the mandate of Permenpan RB No. 19 of 2013 concerning the Position of Functional Statistics and Credit Figures and Permenpan RB No. 32 of 2020 concerning the Functional Position of Computer Administration which signals the obligation of Competency Test (Ukom) for Functional Officials which aims to improve their competence.

During the Covid-19 pandemic, the Competency Test implementation system must be held by considering health protocols. The venue for the Competency Test which is usually centered at the Provincial BPS, is now also being held at the Regency / City BPS to minimize the occurrence of crowds. So that in order to monitor the running of the Competency Test throughout the Regency / City BPS, supervision from the Central and Provincial BPS is carried out with real time monitoring using the Zoom application.

BPS Semarang City is one of the places to hold the 2021 Competency Test with 8 functional officials consisting of 2 people from BPS Semarang City, 4 people from the City Government, 1 person from the Ministry of Manpower, and 1 person from the Ministry of Health. The types of exams that the participants participated in included the Young Expert Competency Test with 3 participants, the Intermediate Expert Statistics Competency Test with 1 participant, the First Expert Computer Administration Competency Test with 1 participant, and the Advanced Computer Administration Competency Exam with 2 participants.

Overall, the exams, which started at 8:15 a.m. to 10:30 p.m., took place orderly and smoothly.
